Glacier National Park The Highline Trail Logan Pass

Glacier National Park Pictures
The Highline Trail
Logan Pass

The Highline Trail begins at Logan Pass on the Going to the Sun Road and then runs north, following the Continental Divide in the process, to Fifty Mountain Campground, it's about 20 miles total.
This year because of all the snow finally opened 3 days ago.
It is recommended to hike with appropriate hiking and self-arrest equipment.
You never know what you might see along on the trails. The wildlife doesn't move off the trail usually you do. We always run into bighorn sheep and mountain goats. I've never run into a bear but you never know when that might happen. Make noise!

Here is where the "Garden Wall" starts. You can see the Going to the Sun Road below.
The exciting part to me is the thrilling "Garden Wall" that runs from Logan Pass to the Granite Park Chalet. It is about 7 or so miles. The hike has many flat spots and gradual inclines here and there.

We love the beautiful mountain goats!
During the summer months is a great time to take advantage of all the hiking every where. I will try to post more hikes soon.

Great exercise!

Here we are having lunch on the cliff area. You can see over to Many Glacier area with Swift Current Lake in the distance then in the middle Lake Josephine and the closest lake is Grinnell Lake.

The adorable marmots!!
