Old Steel Bridge Kalispell, Montana

The Old Steel Bridge has since been replaced with a new bridge. You can still see the old steel bridge sitting out of the way along the shore of the Flathead River. 

:The Old Steel Bridge" as it's known around these parts, was the first bridge to cross the Flathead River and has stood and been operational in Kalispell, Montana for the last 114 years. It was deemed unsafe and replaced by a new two lane bridge. 

KALISPELL MAN HIKES ALL GLACIER PARK TRAILS IN ONE SEASON

Kalispell man, Jake Bramante's last hike Lincoln Lake trailhead made him the first person in history to complete all the 734 miles of trails in Glacier National park. Jake Bramante used three pairs of shoes.
Because of the crazy weather in May and June he couldn't access a lot of the trails until late July.

Bramante is 34 years old and a lifelong Montana resident. He carefully planned days on the trails.
Bramante remembered his bear spray and didn't run into any aggressive wildlife except a grouse.

Great Bear Wilderness hike Skiumah Creek Trail

Off for another hike and this time it's in the Great Bear Wilderness.

The Skiumah Creek trail is 1.9 miles long. It begins at Highway #2 and ends at Skiumah Lake. The trail is open for the following uses: Hiking, Horseback Riding

The Skiumah Trail is very overgrown and brushy in spots. Remember your bear spray. 

The trail was clear in some areas and other areas the brush was higher than your head. Bring your bear spray always. It was worth the bush whacking!
